Students who are accepted will be enrolled in Summer 2 courses: PO 231 Parties and Elections (3 cr), and PO 395 Politics Internship.
Cost will be Summer Tuition and fees (6 credits) plus $500 QU fee. A deposit of $500 for the fee will be charged at application time. There are discounts if you apply EARLY and/or choose BOTH conventions.
This seminar program is faculty-led and your internship is fully supervised. Interns may work with City Host Committee, media organizations, state delegations, credential processing and security and other options.
If you want to see how the magic happens for one of the grandest traditions of our country’s election process, we’ll take you behind the scenes of the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
You’ll interact with political insiders, attend exclusive events and engage in on-site fieldwork with media outlets, advocacy groups, host committees, state delegations and other organizations connected to the convention.
