My name is Hannah Ward and I graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology. My interest in this field began as a child when I started caring for my grandmother with dementia. I wanted to turn my love for the aging population into a career and I knew that the Gerontology program at Quinnipiac would help me accomplish this.
Throughout the program, I was able to learn about the different niches in Gerontology and find the right fit for me. Thanks to my course work, professors, and internships, I now feel confident as a working professional in this field.
I am currently employed at the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut as a care manager for the elderly. I first started as an intern in 2015 at this agency and have continued to grow and learn ever since then.
The Gerontology program at Quinnipiac University has helped me get to where I am today and I will always use this base of knowledge and skills to further my career in this growing field.
