On Tuesday, April 18th senior sociology majors and gerontology majors were inducted into their respective honor societies. A reception hosted by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, celebrated the many accomplishments of senior inductees. Sociology seniors inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society, had to maintain a 3.3 or higher cumulative GPA, and 3.0 GPA in courses offered by the department. Gerontology seniors inducted into Sigma Phi Omega, the International Academic & Professional Gerontology Honor Society, had to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
