Three students from the Department of Chemistry and Physical Sciences presented their research at the 2023 Seventh Annual Student Research Symposium organized by the New Haven Section of the American Chemical Society on April 22nd, 2023, held at the University of New Haven.
- Isabella Prosper’s (Chemistry) research poster titled “Expression, Purification, and Characterization of Wild Type Main Protease (Mpro) from SARS-CoV-2” won 1st Place in the undergraduate poster presentation category.
- Tyler Horvath’s (Biochemistry/MCB 3+1) research talk titled “Investigation of the Standard Redox Potential of Novel Bacterial Laccases” won 2nd Place in the graduate oral presentations category.
- Claudia Ayala (Biochemistry) presented her research in a poster titled “A Quantitative Analysis of Nitrate and Nitrite Concentrations in Natural Water Samples from the Quinnipiac River.”
