AKD Induction

On Friday, April 25, senior Sociology majors were inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD), the International Sociology Honor Society.

Founded in 1920 at the University of Southern California by Dr. Emory S. Bogardus, AKD has been affiliated with the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) since 1967 and is closely connected to the American Sociological Association (ASA). Over the past eight decades, more than 106,000 scholars have been initiated into AKD. Today, the Society includes over 630 chapters across the United States, Canada, China, Finland, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Singapore, playing an integral role in sociology programs worldwide.
