QU in DC is open to undergrad students in any major.  This is a great way to get real career experiences, find your direction and put your college degree into overdrive!  We have a very large alumni community in Washington who are excited to work with us in support of students seeking that next internship or first job.

Upcoming Application Deadlines:

  • Sept. 22: Deadline for applications for Spring 2026 Academic Internship program in Washington DC.  This is a full spring semester in DC working as a fulltime intern in a field related to your major and goals, plus academic coursework.  Internships are in public relations, finance/marketing, government, advocacy groups, lobbying, research/think tanks, and media.  QU financial aid applies and the student earns 15 credits in their major/minor. Eligibility Requirements: completed or transferred 30 credits, with a 3.0 gpa by end of Fall 2025 semester.  The program is for students in ANY major, and highly recommended for juniors and seniors.
  • October 20:  Deadline for applications for January term Inside Washington. Earn three credits in PO 365 or PO 365H.  Program starts Jan. 6 and ends January 13.  Cost is January tuition plus $300 fee. Housing in DC apartments is no extra charge. This is our most popular program and we have limited slots available.  Deadline is October 20 but we expect the program to fill much sooner than that. Complete your application and get admitted while slots are still available.   I’m telling you more details about Inside Washington at the bottom of this email.  First year students are eligible and encouraged to apply for this program along with more advanced students.
