Excavation and Imaging of Possible Revolutionary War Soldiers

Exciting lecture opportunity – come and hear the state archaeologist, Nick Bellantoni, talk about the very recent excavation of the possible Revolutionary War soldiers. The skeletons were found beneath the basement floor of a home in Ridgefield, CT, and may be those who died during the first battle of the Revolutionary War in Connecticut – the Battle of Ridgefield.  They are the first skeletons of Revolutionary War soldiers found in the state. Dr. Bellantoni will also talk about the imaging (x-ray and CT scans) done by the Bioanthropology Research Institute here at Quinnipiac.

When: March 2, 2020 at 6:00 pm

Where: MNH 101 (North Haven Campus – Auditorium)
