Summer Intern – Environmental Health and Safety

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Global Facilities and Engineering  department located at our Duluth, Georgia Animal Health Headquarters’ facility. As an Intern, you will help create a dynamic Environmental Health and Safety Policy and Program by enhancing existing documents, practices, and databases to meet regulatory and corporate requirements for site activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Database Management
• Natural Hazards Assessment
• Entry level understanding regulatory, safety, and security risks in an administrative environment and mitigating these risks to an acceptable level.
• Provide Industrial Hygiene, General Safety and Occupational Safety program support.
• Liaison with GFE Leadership and C-Suite as needed.

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent MS Excel
• MS PowerPoint
• Ability to quickly learn unique but rudimentary software databases

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older
