The Video Production intern will be assisting the Digital Video Director in design, production, and creation of high quality and compelling videos to promote our company and its clients. You will be involved in all aspects of video productions: from running a camera to editing documentaries. We are a small non-union marketing company. Meaning unlike a larger corporation or network, you can work directly on projects like any other crew member with a full hands-on experience. Learn and assist with our team on real client production shoots. You will be able to get hands-on with everything; Shooting, Editing, Sound, Conceptualizing, Pre-Production, Post-Production. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be in the industry but not quite sure what exactly they want to do. We produce a wide variety of video content: PBS style documentaries, TV commercials, corporate & non-profit video, web video, social media video. You name it, just about everything except weddings and birthdays!
The ideal candidate should possess a creative mind and know how to tell a story and catch the attention of the audience.
On your resume you must list relevant skills or a list of related classes / workshops you have taken (i.e. studio production, field production, visual comm, basic lighting, etc.) If your resume only contains unrelated work experience you will not be considered.
If you can share work samples that’s terrific. Class projects, YouTube channel, Social media accounts, etc. Really anything communication / media related we would love to see.
Also, if you can attach a cover letter with your resume that would be great. It’s not necessary, but we would love to just get a couple sentences from you explaining where you are at in your professional development. Have you done an internship before? What are your favorite classes? What do you hope to gain from an internship with us? etc.
All AmericanView interns must be able to work at our office in Monroe, CT
