The Managed Markets and Commercial Operations (MMCO) & Marketing Intern will help in the development of a new podcast designed to educate, motivate and support the field sales team in the Endocrinology unit. This Intern will primarily work with the MMCO & marketing groups and focus on related topics for podcasts, including subjects such as:
- Stories about patients suffering from Hypercortisolism
- Information about patient marketing materials
- Information about pharmacy operations and managed care
Responsibilities:
- Podcast planning and development: Work with MMCO and marketing team members including Patient Advocates, Korlym Reimbursement Managers, and patient marketers to develop the overall concept, themes, and episode formats for the podcast
- Research, write, and edit scripts for episodes
- Guest coordination: Help coordinate guest speakers and assist in scheduling and preparing interview questions for podcast episodes
- Assist in recording and editing high-quality audio content and work with podcast production tools (such as Adobe Audition, GarageBand, or similar tools)
- Deliver a department presentation at the end of the program
- Participate as a member of the 2025 intern team group project that includes a company-wide presentation
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Strong interest in podcasting and storytelling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic audio editing and production skills (experience with software like Adobe Audition, GarageBand, or similar tools is a plus)
- Creative, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to work in the healthcare/medical industry and strong compassion for patients suffering from a rare disease
- Must be able to complete at least 10 consecutive weeks between June and August and it is a full-time internship (40 hours per week)
- Must be able to work at our Redwood City office for the duration of the internship, no relocation available
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Media Production or a related field)
