Summary:
Fusion Training Academy is seeking passionate and energetic Youth Soccer Coaches to join our team and help young players develop their passion and individual technical and tactical understanding of the game. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth players, an excellent understanding of age-appropriate core technical fundamentals, and the ability to create a fun, engaging and structured training environment.
Current Openings:
- Spring – must be available to work 1-4 weekday evenings from roughly 5:00-8:00pm and/or Sundays from 4:00-8:00pm.
- Summer – must be available to work Mondays through Thursdays from either 9:00-12:00pm or 9:00-3:00pm depending on the camp week. Some evening programming also available.
- Fall – must be available to work 1-4 evenings Monday through Friday from roughly 5:00-8:00pm.
- Winter – must be available to work 1-4 weekday evenings from roughly 5:00-8:00pm. Some weekend options may also be available.
Responsibilities:
- Must be comfortable coaching recreational to town travel level players ranging in age from 4-18
- Prepare and manage engaging and age-appropriate practice sessions for your assigned training groups.
- Establish a positive, welcoming but focused training environment for each assigned training group.
- Effectively facilitate assigned curriculums as required.
- Coach players in a fun, energetic, and engaging way while dealing with issues that may arise during practices.
- Create and monitor the safety of players at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent age-appropriate communication skills and able teach the game of soccer to children in a fun, energetic, and engaging way.
- Must have an excellent knowledge base for technical training in a group environment with a focus on ball mastery, touch work, 1v1 attacking and defending concepts and other core technical and tactical concepts.
- This position requires you to use positive coaching techniques while dealing with children who are having issues with their behavior.
- USYS, USSF, NSCAA Coaching Licenses are a plus but not required for right candidates (or willingness to obtain).
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to complete abuse prevention education/training course
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 15 per week
