Salary $45,000.00 – $51,000.00 per year
LASMTC is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Development Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in advancing the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. In collaboration with the Fund Development Manager, you will help design and implement strategies to elevate our brand, deepen audience engagement, and drive meaningful impact. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining the donor database, processing and acknowledging donations, assisting with events, and supporting donor communications. This position is partially funded through one or more grants, and its continuation or renewal may involve adjustments to job duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain and update donor information in the fundraising database with accuracy and consistency.
- Process and record all donations, pledges, and payments in a timely manner.
- Generate regular and ad hoc reports to track fundraising progress and donor trends.
- Ensure data integrity by performing regular database audits and updates.
- Train and assist staff on database best practices as needed.
- Prepare and send timely acknowledgment letters, receipts, and other correspondence to donors.
- Provide logistical support for fundraising and donor engagement events, including venue coordination, invitations, RSVPs, and on-site assistance.
- Assist in drafting and distributing donor-centric communications such as newsletters, emails, and social media posts.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records for fundraising activities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve development processes and systems.
- Support the Development and Communications team with special projects and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a nonprofit development role preferred.
- Proficiency in using donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Bloomerang, Salesforce, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
