Gay City News is seeking an intern to help us cover the LGBTQ community in New York City and beyond. This internship offers students an opportunity to dive in and gain critical journalism experience reporting on the ground, filing stories, taking photo and video, and more. The intern would cover a wide range of areas pertaining to the LGBTQ community, including crime, politics, health, entertainment, and more. The intern will also learn and practice social media skills and take and compile video clips.
We welcome applicants who are majoring in journalism or a related field and are interested in covering the LGBTQ community. Interns can have flexible schedules to work around classes and other obligations.
This internship is unpaid and students must receive school credit.
