A Congressional internship is a valuable opportunity for students with an interest in public service to gain hands-on experience and knowledge of the United States Senate. I’m pleased to offer internships in my Washington, D.C. and Hartford, CT offices, as well as press internships in my Washington, D.C. office. We offer full-time internships (35-40 hours/week) in my Washington, D.C. office and part-time internships (15-20 hours/week) in both of my offices. Connecticut residents will be given priority.
I am seeking hard-working and detail-oriented college students with outstanding communication and time management skills. An ardent desire to help others is required. Interns will work closely with my staff and constituents to attain a broad understanding of the interaction between citizens and their government. Interns assist my staff with various administrative tasks, including answering phones and sorting mail, and also participate in more substantive activities, including drafting responses to constituent inquiries, conducting legislative research, attending briefings, hearings, meetings, press conferences, and other events, and drafting memos for the staff and me.
Our office is currently accepting applications for Spring 2023 internships in our Hartford and Washington offices. We encourage you to apply using the links below. If you have any questions in the interim please direct them to Madeleine White for the Hartford internship or Srishti Banerjee for the DC internship.
