Quinnipiac Theater Performance and Production

Quinnipiac Theater Performance and Production: Each year, the Quinnipiac Theater Program produces four main-stage productions (two plays in the fall and a musical in the spring), and sponsors two student-run plays (one in the fall and one in the spring). You can get involved in an on-stage performance role, or in one of several off-stage roles (directing/assistant directing, stage management, or costume, lighting, scenic, or sound design). Open auditions are in the first week of every semester. All students, regardless of major, are welcome and encouraged to participate. No experience is necessary! For more information and to get involved, email Prof. Kevin Daly.

New Play LabQuinnipiac students are invited to submit original ten-minute plays for inclusion in our New Play Lab! 6-8 selected plays will receive workshop productions at the Theatre Arts Center each April. Selected playwrights will be assigned a professional mentor who will offer critical feedback on the script and serve as a guide throughout the production process. Additional opportunities for student directors, actors, and stage mangers! Questions? email Prof. Kevin Daly.

National Theater Institute: All students, regardless of major, have the opportunity to have an immersive, theater conservatory experience through the National Theater Institute (NTI). Through the NTI semester program, students earn an entire semester of QU course credit while taking courses and working with theater professionals at the NTI/Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in New London, CT. The NTI semester includes two weeks studying abroad in London. Alternatively, students can participate in the Moscow Art Theater Semester (MATS) or the six-week Theatermakers Summer Intensive Program. Quinnipiac financial aid packages can be applied to the NTI and Moscow Art Theater semesters. To learn more, email Prof. Kevin Daly.
