Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of manager or senior staff, will perform duties consistent with MSA’s sales and marketing processes which include:
- Learning about the overall marketing process at MSA and the applicability of his/her role in that process
- Performing marketing analysis on customer and/or external datasets and documenting findings
- Communicating results of analysis to other analysts, MSA management and external customers
- Identifying candidates via web searches, attending online webinars, etc.
- Following up with prospects via written or verbal communications
- Assisting with preparation of marketing materials
- Participating in meetings as necessary
Majority of time each week will be spent performing marketing and sales related tasks; however the intern may be assigned other routine tasks as necessary which may include: data entry, report formatting and/or application testing.
Hybrid in-office and remote work. Candidates must currently live in the Pittsburgh, PA region due to in-office work. Typically, the intern will report to MSA’s Bakery Square location two days per week throughout the summer.
Required Skills:
- Currently pursuing a 4-year business degree with a focus in sales, marketing or entrepreneurship
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal and team skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Office suite of products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
