Below, you’ll find information on private lessons, and the three major Quinnipiac performance groups (the Quinnipiac Jazz Ensemble, Quinnipiac Symphony, and Quinnipiac Singers), as well as information on the two student-run vocal groups, Legends and Note-ables. Contact information for each is included; to get involved, email to express your interest!
Private Music Lessons:
Music lessons give Quinnipiac students the opportunity to study the piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola or woodwind instruments with a highly skilled professional artist. In private music lessons, students develop an understanding of the fundamental elements of playing a musical instrument. No prior musical training is required as lessons are tailored by the instructor to be appropriate for any level of study. For more information and to get involved, contact George Sprengelmeyer. May be taken for credit as MU 110 (1 credit, offered every semester).
QU Singers:
QU Singers gives students the opportunity to perform music from a variety of periods including selections from classical and modern music. The course emphasizes proper vocal technique and is intended to teach students to sing with other musicians. Students of every experience and ability level are encouraged to attend; audition not required. For more information and to get involved, contact George Sprengelmeyer or James Noble. May be taken for credit as MU 190 (1 credit, offered every semester).

Note-able!
“Note-able!” is a student-run singing group made up of men and women who love to perform for others. We sing hits that everyone knows and loves and learn the music in a choral setting. Our goal is to bring men and women of QU together to enjoy the opportunity to sing. Auditions take place in the beginning of the academic year, usually a week after the involvement fair. For more information and to get involved, contact Taina.echevarria@quinnipiac.edu.
